Updated November 4, 2026
Online banking
- Add a payee in your bank's bill payment screen. Search for "CRA" or "Canada Revenue". Some banks list it as "Receiver General".
- Choose the payee that matches what you are paying, such as your tax return, instalments, corporate tax or GST/HST.
- Enter your social insurance number for personal tax or your 15-character business number for business accounts.
- Save the confirmation number.
Other options
- My Payment using a debit card from a participating bank
- Pre-authorized debit set up in My Account
- Third-party providers for credit cards, which charge a fee
- In person at a bank or at Canada Post with a remittance form or QR code
Allow a few business days. A payment counts when the CRA receives it. See the CRA's payment page.
