Notice of Reassessment
Updated November 4, 2026
A Notice of Reassessment means the CRA changed a return it has already assessed. It could be from a change you requested, or a review.
- You agree: pay any balance by the date shown.
- You disagree: contact the CRA or your accountant, and watch the objection deadline.
- You do not understand: ask for an explanation right away, as the deadline keeps running.
Interest on a new balance can reach back to the original due date.
